Ryley popped a pink gumball into his mouth. It wasn't exactly "healthy" like the school wanted all the time, but he had a sweet tooth that couldn't be helped. When he wanted sweets there was no ignoring it. So he chewed away at the hard outer layer of the gumball and soon as a nice chewy piece of sweetness to satisfy him. He almost sighed out loud as he wondered through the courtyards of the school. It only things were so simple like that in life. Well on second thought some things were like a gumball; a little hard work and then you are rewarded with the sweet center. He was in a drab mood this evening when he woke up and decided maybe a rainbow of color would brighten his out look for the night. He had gone to his classes for the night and spent some time in the courtyard wondering about for no apparent reason.
Lately he was so different inside. He was adjusting to the ways of the school easier then he thought he would. Everything here seemed like natural to him, easy and right. Best part of the school? The fact that there were other openly homosexual fledglings. This was new to him, for once he didn't feel like such an outsider. His old school was ok, he didn't get teased too harshly, but he wasn't exactly like he fit in either. But here there was a possibility to be in love and have those feelings returned. It was almost so exciting that it was a little scary to him. Ryley had never had a boyfriend or any of the things that came with a boyfriend. It was scary and exciting and a lot to think about.
Ryley picked up his pace, it was too freaking cold to be wondering about in the courtyard, no matter how pretty the snow might be. When he entered the school, he shook off the chill and made his way to the dinning hall. Suddenly he thought he was hungry. He grabbed a salad with tons of toppings, an apple, ham sandwich and a bottle of water. Seemed all healthy and crap. Ryley plopped down at an empty table with his tray of food. He tugged the purple heart shaped ear buds out of his ears, turned off his equally purple iPod off and tucked it into his pocket. The salad in front of him looked delicious enough and he shoved a fork full into his mouth and chewed. He was right, it wasn't too bad. It was nothing like a good old cupcake though. Ryley couldn't help but sigh.
Ryley kept himself in good shape and it was common knowledge to keep a good physique you have to eat well. But like most things, Ryley couldn't resist something sweet. Icing, candy, cake...there was a boy once. That thought gave him a bit of a smile. Even though he really didn't know where he stood with this other boy, Ryley couldn't help but have a bit of a crush. He couldn't help but feel a little disappointed though, it had been a while since he had seen the boy out and about.... Maybe he didn't really like him? Or he wasn't around any more...humans were almost all gone and Vampires started to pick each other off too. Maybe he didn't make it through the infection...Ryley stopped a pout and took a big bite of his apple. He sat there and tried to think of other things. He didn't like the alone feeling that was settling deep down in his chest...it kind of ached... Words: 544 more than that...it's too late to count. Muse: a bit sad and needy Outfit: ~*~Outfit~*~ Notes: short but it's just a beginning.

A snow bunny Lilith was not. Nose wrinkled in protest as she donned her big, fluffy, white coat to venture out into the cold wilderness that she called school. Winter was just annoying, with all of the snow, the cold, and especially the harsh wind that gave her unattractive red cheeks and frazzled hair. Why anyone would like a season like that was lost to her, but she begrudgingly still had to get food.
Lilith shoved her hands deep inside her coat pockets after she had put the furry hood over her well groomed hair and made her way towards the dining hall. She actually enjoyed how wealthy she felt at the school, eating only what was best for her and living in luxurious accommodations. Though she was spoiled as a human, her family was not rich, she bled her parents dry long before she became a fledgling. It seemed like some kind of ironic foreshadowing now that she thought about it.
Pushing the door open, she slipped inside to the warmth, putting her hood down and making her way to the salad bar. Eating just salad with minimal toppings had brought her down a few pounds and she couldn't help but love the new found tone in her tummy. Being a fledgling definitely had it's perks, so much so that she wondered what being a full blown vamp would be in store for her.
With her salad with light french dressing in hand, she turned and scanned the tables for someone to sit with. Being a newbie was never fun, she hated not having any friends to turn to. Feeling like the loser new girl, she put on a confident facade as she approached a cute looking boy sitting all alone looking a little sullen about his meal.
"Hey." Lilith said, setting down her plate and sliding off her coat and placing it onto the chair before sliding in the chair herself. "Hope you don't mind if I sit here." A light smile crossed her red lips.
OOC: Hope you don't mind she popped in here! (:

Ryley was mindlessly chewing away at his salad, feeling like a rabbit. He smiled a little to himself at the thought. Little bunnies with their cute little noses that wiggled when they chewed. It made him wonder if rabbits were an approved pet. Wouldn't that be fun? A little ball of fur hopping about, they were litter trainable after all. What would be the harm. A plastic forkful of lettuce again filled his mouth. He suddenly missed his gum ball that he had to abandon in a near by trash can before sitting down to eat.
He seemed lost in though for quite a time, his lunch almost half eaten by now. Mentally he went over the list of things he needed to get done. Homework assignments, he needed to get into a normal work out routine and he was interested in getting into the musical. That would be fun, something to fill all this spare time he seemed to have. He really should try and make more friends. Just as that thought occluded to him the sound of a plate being set down at his table. He blinked, having being brought back to reality he looked up.
A smile appeared quickly and easily upon his lips. It was genuine, much like every happy action of his. "Hi. No I don't mind at all." He took another bite of his apple and looked at her for a moment. For all the searching his mind, he could not place her. Apparently she was new, so he swallowed his apple and smiled. "I'm Ryley. You must be new, I don't think I've seen you around." He poked the last bits of his salad with his fork and spoke again before shoveling it in. "How do you like it here so far?"
Sadly Ryley had been in such a funk lately he had failed to notice new students. He needed to be better. A welcoming committee. Yes. The school could use one. Mentally he made a note to ask about getting one started. He knew what it as like to be new and he loved meeting new people, yes a committee would be a grand idea. Words: 364 (sorry posting while I should be paying attention to our D&D campaign, lol) Muse: not bad Notes: sorry so short ! And I don't mind. Though most seemed a little down about eating healthy, Lilith loved it. She had never felt as skinny as she had lately. Every inch of her body just felt healthier, but that could have been the vampire in her as well. Yet again she was reminded how much the change was going to help every aspect of her life. Forget being a weak human, she was now more superior, immortal, ready for anything. And just like the teenage vampire she was, she felt invincible and started to convince herself that nothing could hurt her.
She dug her fork into her salad, loving how the pieces were small and not awkward like they were when she actually went to human school. Again, everything was better here.
Eyes watched the food lazily, her hand moved up and propped her head up with her hand, putting her elbow on the table. Lilith had never been good at following the rules, even easy ones like never put your elbows on the table.
"I'm newish. I tend to be bad at going to class, especially in weather like this." Lilith said with a small laugh. Her white teeth stood in harsh contrast to her red lips. "And it's nice to meet you Ryley. I'm Lilith." She extended her hand to shake his in greeting. "It's nice to meet a friendly face."
She returned her arm back to it's original position as she took a small bite of lettuce as Ryley talked before she replied. "I love it. Bit boring would be my only complaint. Not to fond of not being able to leave with an adult vampire though. How long have you been here?" Her ice blue eyes locked on his as she waited for his response before taking another bite.
OOC: I am so sorry this took forever. Just got back to school ):

Ryley listen politely as she talked and he finished the last bits of his salad. Truly he had been so busy lately with other things he had failed to notice new students. He shook her hand when she offered it and then in went back to rest on his lap again.
He listened to her reply to his question about liking the school or not. He nodded when she complained a little about needing an adult to leave the school. “It’s nice to meet you too Lilith.” The warm smile never faltered on his face. He had to take a moment to think about her last question. How long had it been? About a year or more?
“Oh me? Well…I’ve been here for about a year or more.” He giggled a little. “Time kinda slips away after a while…oh but I am glad I am here.” He picked up his mess from his lunch and set it all neatly on his tray as he continued. “I almost didn’t make it, you know.” He looked at her all seriousness in his eyes. “It’s crazy this infection and all. I about died before I even got to this school. Seriously…scary.” He absentmindedly picked at the napkin on his tray. “But…you know you can spend all this time learning, changing and stuff just to reject the change in the end.”
He shivered at the thought of dieing again. “Then you have the chance of coming back at a crimson.” He leaned in a little lower his tone as if he needed to be really quiet about what he was about to say next. “I hear they are really feral when they come back. All crazy and stuff.” Ryley looked a tad bit worried at the idea of losing all his humanity as he straightened back up.
So much had changed since Ryley had come to the school. He couldn’t imagine losing anymore of himself by dying and coming back as a feral crimson. Words: 303 Muse: *poke poke* He's been pouting missing his boyfriend, but i woke him up with come coffee. Notes: I'm so crazy sorry. I have been trying to get a post out of him forever. Feel free to stop by my plot page, ~*~ My Plots Here ~*~ , makes it easier to get a thread going if we have some direction. :-) (*cough* i need to update my plots a little)
