She felt like one of those fairytale princesses from all the stories and the movies that she was incessantly obsessed with lately. And Disney. Her and Aoife were totally going through a Disney phase. Willow adored dressing up and spinning about. She thought it was so much fun! It felt so wonderful to feel like a little Princess. She paused and blinked. Not that she wasn’t a real princess and all now. Because Daddy was the Monarch, that meant that she was a Princess. She giggled. She always thought it was so much fun when people called her Princess. So silly.
Willow actually felt like a princess tonight though. Her hair had a pretty white bow in it which had been added after it had been all done up, though carefully done not to make her look older, if anything it enhanced her childlike innocence. Perhaps that was because of the bow. Most likely. She had a pretty black lace dress on that flared out when she spun—so of course little Willow was spinning all over the place and making herself positively dizzy—and she loved the way it felt. And she jingled when she walked! She giggled silently thinking about htat and bounced on purpose.
Little silver bells had been tied into the white ribbon around her dress. Perhaps that had been done on purpose so people would know that the little mute seven year old was coming. She didn’t much care what it was there for, she just liked it and that was what mattered. Not that she would have thrown a fit if she didn’t, she just would have pouted. Willow wasn’t the temper tantrum type. Being mute sort of took the fun out of that sort of thing after all.
Anyway, Willow was looking around the Ball for New Years Eve. Prince Charming, aka Char to Willow, her young white ferret, popped his head out of her hair and she giggled silently, petting his head when he did, which made him nuzzle against her cheek. Silly scaredy-cat ferret was always hiding in her hair. The Ball had been going on for a while and Willow was having so much fun watching. She had danced with her big brother, and her twin, before she had skipped off to explore a little bit and see what interesting things she could find. Because Willow was nothing if not curious.
She saw her Daddy talking to a Council Member and curtsied deeply when she caught his eye, giggling silently because she found it so amusing to curtsey. But that was all part of their little game! He had told her so. They were going to be very polite to each other and proper in public so that way she could be more of a little princess and no one would ever know! She thought it was funny. Such an odd little game. She didn’t know that it was because Laevinus didn’t want to show weakness in public by being as fond of the twins as he was in private. She didn’t have to know, she was only seven. So she went on thinking it was a game like he told her.
The music had started to switch to more modern songs and Willow watched, wide eyed, as the people on the dance floor danced. It had been like a scene out of one of her movies earlier, with all the proper dancing and people in those wonderful sparkling dresses and tuxedos, she sighed dreamy like just thinking about it. Now, well now they were dancing differently but that didn’t spoil it for her at all. Perhaps it was the dresses.
And as she was dreamily watching the dancing, that was when someone in all gray behind her dropped a glass, making a lot of noise and scaring Char off her shoulder. She blinked and her eyes went wide as her little ferret scampered off into the crowd. She gave a tiny shriek and chased off after the silly, easily scared creature. Get back here you silly goose! she thought with a mental giggle as off she went, chasing after her pet.
Tiny as she was, it wasn’t hard for her to weave in and out of people’s legs in search of her little darling. Adter a while she forgot that she was scared for her ferret and it turned into a bit of a game. Catch that ferret! She giggled silently and gave chase. She didn’t care who she bumped into, be they Hunter or Tracker or Lower Class or Upper, she was going to catch that silly goose!

theres a thunder in our hearts baby so much hate for the ones we love TAG: Vin's kids OUTFIT: HERE ONE LAST THING: none. She wasn't quite yet sure if she actually liked these things or not. Don't get her wrong, she loved a party or two, she definitely liked breaking out the little black dress, but everyone was just so stuck up at these things. It made it very hard for her to keep from mouthing off to someone when all they did was prance around in their expensive dresses and suits, gloating about their high status or vast amount of money. She'd much rather go hit a club, where you could hardly hear anyone talking over the sound of the music, where it wasn't at all improper to wear short dresses, or to let her mouth run. She had a polite smile on her face as she talked with some rich person about rather bland things that frankly she didn't care about. A few times her father or grand-father were brought up, but she really didn't care about talking to power hungry snobs who looked at her only as a means to get to a higher place.
Just a bunch of assholes anyways. You could just let me steal it. It's so shiny! It'd be quick, I'll zip over there and snatch it! Just like that She let out an amused half laugh, which interrupted whatever it was that the man Laurel was talking to had just said. Micha shifted on her shoulder, digging her talons into Lau just a bit too hard, causing Laurel to narrow her eyes and glare at the bird. "Ease the fuck up with the talons Micha" The man blinked, obviously thrown off by Laurel's blatant statement to a bird. She, of course, didn't give a rat's ass. "Excuse me. I have to go do something other than talk to you" And with that very rude and rather off-handed statement she turned and walked through the crowd. Micha staying well-balanced on her shoulder as she had gotten damn near perfect at walking so smoothly that the bird could settle easily on her perch. "Micha, you can't just go around stealing things, especially here. You want me to get into trouble?" The falcon ruffled her feathers, her gaze darting around the whole room.
She supposed that was about the closes thing she'd get to a confirmation that Micha wouldn't up and steal something from someone. She HAD promised to keep Micha very well behaved, as well as herself, and she was really glad that Micha listened to her so well. She started into the crowd again, looking around for her father, because she was terribly bored and when she was bored she tended to do things she shouldn't, so if she stuck around him it'd be incentive NOT to misbehave. But knowing Laurel she'd end up doing something she shouldn't anyways. She probably had a bit more of her mother in her than she cared to admit. Had she turned her back just a few seconds sooner she'd have missed Willow running through the crowd, and for a few moments she rose an eyebrow, staring after the younger girl. "I bet that ferret of hers ran off" She commented to Micha as she started in the direction of the younger girl. And just as she said that Micha decided to not listen and was instantly off her shoulder, gaining altitude till she was high above everyone's eyes. "Micha! Jesus, damn bird" Laurel shook her head as she continued through the crowd after Willow.
Go right Laurel, she's to your right! What would you do without me, get lost probably" Laurel couldn't help but shake her head, moving to the right as the bird directed and eventually catching sight of Willow, now that there wasn't a bird on her shoulder she walked just a bit faster, brushing past people as she made a beeline to the little blonde. "Aunt Willow!" She called out, knowing that it'd probably make Willz laugh, because it always seemed too. Laurel's family was a bit odd, seeing as two of her aunts were seven-years old. Laurel got a kick out of calling Willow and Aoife, Aunt Willow and Aunt Aoife, it amused her to no end, just as it amused the little girls. "Are you running after Char again?" She needed to walk just a bit faster, though she wasn't as little as Willow and she had a bit of a harder time getting around people. Well, getting around people is a bad statement to use, she brushed past them, or glared until they stepped out of her way. Rude little thing. Oh well. She was trying to catch up to Aunt Willow and anyone who got in her way could go fuck a cactus.
tell me that we both matter dont we

Willow tended to forget the sadness in the world, even if it was an immediate sadness. Besides, chasing after the silly little scardey-cat was fun for her! She liked weaving in and out of people, it became a game after a few moment, see how long it could take her to catch the silly Prince Charming.
She was still afraid of course that he would be hurt. It just stopped being the main factor as to why she was chasing after him. He was so little and she worried someone would think he was a rat because he didn’t look like a typical ferret, beucase he was a light gray and white instead of black and white or brown and white, or something like that. So that worried her. But not enough to outweigh the fact that she thought it was fun to be weaving in and out of people.
It was like a maze! She giggled as she weaved in and out, noticing some outraged ccries that followed her, some laughter when people caught sight of the Monarch’s daughter weaving about with a happy little grin on her face. Most people heard the bell on her waist as she was coming and got out of the way in time anyway. Not all the time but more often than not after she had made her way around the room once or twice in this odd little wild goose chase that was going on.
She wasn’t aware that Lau was following her, her “niece” technically which made Willow laugh to no end considering Lau was about ten times her age. If she had she probably would have paused, but Willow was paying no attention to anything or anyone that didn’t have to deal with chasing off after Char. Silly little ferret. It was funny how a fearless little girl managed to pick out the most easily frightened ferret to be her pet. But when Daddy had said she could have one, and she had played with a litter of them for a while, she just knew that she wanted the one that kept hiding and then clung to her when she picked him up.
Everyone was always protecting Willow, because she was small and innocent and sweet. Subconsciously, Willow had wanted her pet to be a creature that she could protect. One she could look out for instead of it always being the other way around. And right now she was trying to do just that as she chased off after the silly little thing in a flurry of dresses and heels and suits. Silly ferret was going to get himself hurt!
She heard her name being called, with the attachment of Aunt. And she paused, falling into a fit of giggles that no one could hear except for Aoife but that was because her twin was always in her head. She thought it was so funny! Aunt. Willow was an aunt. She was a seven year old aunt. How silly was that? Willow was easily amused by things. She paused and turned around and saw Lau was chasing after her. She grinned and waved a bit. And applauded Lau’s choice of dress because Willow hadn’t seen her “aunt” just yet that night. She had come in with her Daddy. But she thought that Lau looked very pretty and for a moment it distracted her from her mission of getting her ferret back.
Willow nodded when Lau asked her about Char. She automatically reached for her bag with her sketchbook so that she could write but that was when she remembered that she had left it on a table! She pouted a little bit. Oops. She usually used that to communicate with people when she wasn’t with Aoife! Maybe she should get Angelo to help her learn more signs that weren’t thank you and cookie. But she was usually with her twin so she didn’t see the point in learning more because Aoife spoke for her because she could hear Willow thoughts. Aoife’s ability let her tune into everyone she touched, but her and Willow were always connected, touch or not.
Willow pointed off in the direction that Char had run and nodded. And then blinked. She had lost track of him! Silly ferret! And with no more notice about it than that, she took off running after the silly little thing, leaving more Lau to chase off after her again if she wanted to go about that. Willow was on a mission! She giggled. How silly.
