Surely when you envision someone as the leader of Camp Mortalis, the picture that comes to mind would be one of someone serious and bitter and harsh. That, however, would not describe Tessa. Not at all. Of course, few know she is the leader - because she has a knack for attracting trouble and loves it about as much as it loves her, she and Sampson have taken the added precaution of putting up the front that he is in charge. A temperamental spitfire, fearless, and charming would only be a few words to accurately describe her. She didn't grow up in your regular household - she was the daughter of two thieves - and because of that, she's got a few skills that you wouldn't generally expect. She's small, often underestimated, but behind her pretty face is a survivor and a fighter. At the moment, she's currently on a quest to establish herself as an azure vampire, and is doing fairly well so far.

Friends - true friends, those that she would trust enough to turn her back to - would be few. She's naturally cautious, but is fairly friendly given the right circumstances. Of course, anyone who is part of Camp Mortalis would likely fall in this category, as they are all like her family, despite whether or not she completely trusts them. Acquaintances, fake friends that come from her cover, etc. would be much more plentiful.

Next on the list - little Auri. If you've ever wanted to meet someone who has had every wrong thing possible happen to them, than here she is. Blind, epileptic, and suffering from retrograde amnesia that manifests itself in the form of nightmares, Aurelia is, somehow, unaffected by everything that plagues her. She is a bright and innocent soul, empathetic by nature and shockingly understanding for her age. One thing is for sure - she is far too mature for her age. The little tyke is utterly charming. She's more likely to smile and dance than she is to remain quiet and in the background. She stands out, speaks her mind without thinking it through at times, and while her lifetime clock is ticking down (she's only got a year or two left in the best of circumstances), she is as active and curious as any other child her age.

She loves to make friends, even though she is slightly clingy. Everyone she comes into contact with is automatically dubbed as a friend until they prove themselves otherwise. She is open-hearted and kind, perhaps far too trusting for her own good but generally a good friend to have around.

Enemies would make next to no sense - she's five - but there is a possibility of those that are simply resentful of her. She does, after all, have quite a few people wrapped around her finger and that could create some bitterness. Even the fact that she's a human might irritate some.

lucian elijah remington

Aaaand my asshat. Lucian is not a person that is easy to befriend or even... not hate. He's harsh, cold, a bit insane, and isn't afraid to use the weight of his family name or his vast fortune to better himself. Everything he does is either for his benefit or his kin's. He doesn't have friends or people he is loyal to outside the monarch and those who can better him. While he sees the value of allies, he does not see the value of friendship, and thus, doesn't try particularly hard to make people like him. He be kind, of course - giving, even, but it's only if he thinks it'll later be of use to him. Respectful and quiet, he's a man who doesn't speak often, and when he does, people listen. If there is one thing Lucian is, it's powerful. People take notice of that.

As said before, friends would be few and far in between. Generally, he keeps to himself, and only concerns himself with situations and problems when directly confronted for help. He has little loyalty to others outside the Monarch and his family.

Enemies would, of course, be plenty. Not only for the obvious reasons, but less obvious ones - like the fact that he's a spy for the Archduchess Ariette, and that he was once a crimson and still has a taste for blood. Lots of it. It's to be expected, considering his abrasive personality, that this list would be looong.

Last, lovers. Lucian does appreciate women and their beauty, and he likes to have sex. So there you go. But love - well, that is not entirely his forte and the only person, as far as he is concerned, that he loves at the moment is Emerson. And she's his grand-baby.

coming soon Valentina is the oddest out of the bunch. Eccentric and quirky, a performer for the Noctilunos Circus, she's not someone you meet every day. Or maybe ever, because she's a rare gem indeed. A sweetheart with a kind heart, but also not lacking in aggression, she's a paradox. A vegetarian, an adopter of strays (whether they be human, animals, or vampires), a bleeding heart, but also a person who loves danger - and if that doesn't show in the fact that she gets up on stage every night and stands in a cage with six full grown lions who could knock her out with a single swipe, well then... nothing does. She can be as snarky and sassy as she can be sweet and loving. Naturally maternal and empathetic, more inclined to want to make people happy and feel good then to tear into them and take them down, she's not afraid to say what she wants or to fight either. Perhaps too stubborn, too trusting, too naive sometimes, and certainly too curious, she's currently got everyone under the idea that she is an azure vampire. Coupled with the blue tattoo on her left foot, and her incredible talent with animals that seems like an affinity, she is doing well for herself in a world controlled by vampires.
