she turns those eyes on you, those blue, blue eyes, and she looks, really looks; she's searching, you realise, searching, and wondering, and hoping--she's waiting for it all to be over, for it all to finally end. but when you shake your head, once, twice, those blue, blue eyes of hers shimmer, water, before she blinks once, twice, mimicking you, mocking you, and the tears are gone and that's when it hits you: she was never yours, and you were never hers.
she's power, she's money, she's empathy and apathy, she's everything and anything she wants to be and more; and when she's through with you, she'll be nothing but the fear left lingering on your lips.
you look at her, this woman, this creature born from anger and hate, destroyed by the failed promises of love and all that is good--and you ask, if it was ever true, if it ever mattered; she laughs, her red lips twisting, her blue, blue eyes staring at you, at all of you, and the words slither out of her lips: it was all a lie, my darling, and it always will be--that is how this life works for us, my dear sweetheart.
she's a heroine, she's a vigilante, she's a victim, a villain.
she's everything and anything she wants to be.
she's a feroce.
she's scar.
