It was like this gnawing feeling, in her gut, her center; itching, almost painful, but then again warm, too, and it was a good warmth, the kind that spread out in that glorious manner. She didn't really know what the fuck it was, but it made her feel good. No, it did more than that--it made her feel happy, fucking fifteen years old, i-just-got-my-first-real-kiss happy. She was torn between physically vomiting, and screaming the fucking living shit out of her lungs in joy into her pillow.
Really.
Her; Lightning fucking Strife.
Screaming into a pillow.
She'd deny that it would ever happen, apart from the fact that it did happen the other night. Not a proud moment, she knew.
But nevertheless, it couldn't be helped that that feeling of pure fucking bliss occurred whenever she thought of that annoyingly handsome stupid fucking boy, and it pissed her the fuck off. She'd have called it quits and left the topic, except that Lightning didn't really do quitting, and, also, as much as she wanted to deny it, not seeing that smug as fuck face would--without being dramatic--kill her. It was like she was fucking diseased or something. She'd even visited the doctors at first, not really knowing what to do with her life now that he'd fucking infected her, and asked if there was some sort of pill, or brain surgery that they could do to get rid of these--ugh--feelings. Unfortunately, they said no, which didn't go down too well.
The girl, deciding for a change and wearing skinny jeans, an over-sized jumper, her usual docs, and some cross necklaces (because she liked to be unconventional and in any way offensive), tied her hair up into a messy ponytail, deciding that today was the day where she wouldn't give a fuck--and yet, her eyes were still outlined in kohl black. Whatever. Didn't matter.
Pulling out a packet of cigarettes from her table drawer, she grabbed one of her many lighters, and proceeded to walk out of her dorm room, slamming the door shut with a kick, before popping one into her mouth and lightning it, ignoring the disgruntled look that the other students gave her. She, and they, were used to it by now; after the first few weeks of 'hey, you can't smoke in here's and 'can't you do that outside?'s being responded with a sarcastic smile and a 'sure, i'll do that when you go ahead and kill yourself', everyone pretty much understood that Lightning was going to do whatever the fuck she wanted, wherever the fuck she wanted.
Just one of the many perks of being a bitch.
Bored, and with nothing else to do, the brunette began to roam aimlessly throughout the school buildings, not really feeling like going to class (since when did she ever?) and feeling too lazy to trek all the way out of school and into town. And even if she did, it wasn't as if she could go anywhere good. Her friends were all currently busy being wrecks, and anyway, three hours just wasn't enough to really go all out.
Which reminded her: befriend a vampire. One that didn't annoy the fuck out of her, and preferably one that had very loose morals.
Somehow, she doubted one like that existed.
After all, all the vampires she'd met so far had been nothing but fucking kill joys. Yes, they were mostly all teachers, but that didn't mean they had to be such bores. Or, she could just wait for one of her friends to turn into a vampire. Ty was 18, right? It wouldn't be long before he changed, and then they could go ou--
For fuck sake.
Annoyed, she threw her cigarette onto the ground and angrily stomped on it, mentally scolding herself for bringing up him again. The most infuriating part, was that she'd told herself that this would all just be a game, nothing more than a fling, and that would be the end of it. But no, apparently, life liked to fuck her over. And now, after making it very clear to him, and every other fucking person in the world, that she wanted nothing more, it turned out that actually, she did.
Which was just fucking peachy.
And at the back of her mind, she knew, so very painfully clearly knew, that he, too, didn't want anything else than a fuck buddy friendship. A relationship probably didn't even occur to his mind.
And that was probably the hardest thing.
Ugh.
This girly feeling shit was too new for Lightning, and it was something she didn't really want to deal with--hell, she didn't really know anyone who did want to deal with that shit, except maybe the preppy types that plagued her dorm.
Rolling her eyes, she drew out another cigarette, placing it in her lips, hand ready to light, when she entered the Recreation Hall, and cerulean eyes slowly registered the few people that were hanging around, before plopping down on a couch, and lighting the end. Blowing the smoke out in little rings, she flicked the ash in the direction of the exit.
"Right, every single one of you, get the fuck out." She arched a brow, daring them to do otherwise. "Not in the mood to deal with anyone's shit today, got it?"
Luckily, most of them were first years, and, them, all knowing rumours surrounding the female Strife twin--the Pack were infamous after all--quickly all got up and left the room, but not before shooting the azure looks of annoyance, mixed with fear. She snorted, half amused, half not. The nerve of children, these days.
Leaning back, the brunette closed her eyes, letting the cigarette fall from her hand and onto the floor, knowing that the wooden floor wouldn't catch fire from one burning smoke. She wondered, briefly, if Ty would ever consider her in any other way than someone to bang once in a while--or better yet, if her stupid, damn feelings would ever fade.
Knowing her, and her luck; she seriously doubted it.[style=border-top: 2px #488AC7 solid; padding-top: 5px; text-align: center; letter-spacing: 1px;]words: 998 notes: lol soz bro i lost concentration halfway through~ idk shit post idk soz BUT WE NEEDED TO START A THREAD |

Adrenaline coursed rapidly throughout Tyrone’s toned body, the thick muscle lining his chest, arms, and torso pulling taut as his fists curled in readied anticipation; aggressive, yet snidely amused—such a demeanor was infuriating, and yet, proved intimidating enough to avoid most senseless quarrels. However, this was hardly the case in Tyrone’s current situation; he stood, stoic and motionless, as another male, equivalent to a year younger in size, stood before him, fuming, face twisted into an over-dramatic grimace. He wasn’t entirely sure how, exactly, he’d infuriated the smaller vampire, and yet, he bothered not with the reason—as long as a victory was guaranteed, a fight was quite within his range of favorite past-times.
“You’re one hell of an arrogant fucking bastard, Ty.” The stranger seethed, and Tyrone found a low, sarcastic chuckle slipping past his lips, eyes rolling in an obvious display of the fact the other man’s words hardly fazed him. Ty, quite simply, didn’t give a damn; not now, not ever—it was how he functioned, and thus, this was no exception. All that mattered was that this man wanted a fight, and he intended to oblige with the best of his ability. “Your ass must be pretty fuckin’ jealous of all the shit you talk, slick.” He responded smoothly, the undertone of his voice laced with a mocking amusement, despite its unusually casual first impression. Tyrone tended to have a knack for leaving his company irritated and inevitably provoked, mostly due to the dismissive, yet scornful way of which he conducted himself. It was a skill of which came unfathomably naturally to the male, and although perhaps not the most admirable trait, it certainly got the job done. “You’re done.” The stranger hissed, teeth clenching, and Tyrone immediately grinned triumphantly in response, arms still staying contentedly at his sides. He was hardly intimidated, and it showed—which, perhaps, was what ebbed on his opponent’s next move.
» Within a matter of seconds, the stranger rushed towards Tyrone, fists swinging, breath coming in unsettled, anxious little pants—as with most inexperienced fighters, he’d worked himself up into a panic; something that, fortunately enough, Tyrone had quickly gotten over. Even still, Ty was rapidly hit once to the face, pain exploding throughout his jaw as his head snapped to the side, however he was quick to react, throwing himself fiercely forwards, hands grasping roughly at the collar of the man’s shirt. An over-rated turn in events, but a very useful one nonetheless; it was smooth sailing from then on as Tyrone walked his struggling opponent backwards, slamming him back against the concrete wall behind him. Once, twice, three times, he slammed the man into the wall before pausing, right hand flying back seconds before striking the shocked individual in the nose, sending him collapsing in agony towards the ground below, struggling for a grasp on reality, body seized and rigid. Tyrone’s grin, by this time, had sobered into a mildly satisfied smirk as he observed the pathetic display beneath him through narrowed, ebony eyes, flexing the bloodied fingers of his hand in attempt to ease the pain of which had set the smaller limbs aflame. “Next time you decide to run your little fuckin’ mouth, make sure you can back it up.” He responded, ferociously, before spitting at the stranger in a harsh display of his disrespect, turning, and proceeding to exit as collectedly and calmly as per usual.
Just another day in the life.
» As odd as it may seem to many, such occurrences were oddly familiar, for Tyrone; seeing as he flirted with whomever he wished, started shit with everyone and anyone, and had the rebellious attitude of an angered toddler, it was often that his actions caught the attentions of a disapproving crowd. Even still, such individuals hardly dampened his spirit—so what, if others didn’t like how he conducted himself. It was a free country—or rather, it used to be—and, therefore, he could do whatever the fuck he wanted.
End of story.
» Tyrone entered the Recreation Hall just to be greeted with several young, immature individuals in a hurry to leave, and was therefore quick to shoulder past the majority of them, lip curling in response to one of the dirty looks he received. He hated first years—they were nothing better than a group of inexperienced, fucking little kids. Well, except for a selection of moderately attractive girls. Those were alright, in his books—after all, a guy’s got to do what a guy’s got to do.
» It didn’t take long for Tyrone to locate their source for leaving, however. “Not in the mood to deal with anyone’s shit today, got it?” The voice, grated with the harness of its usual unwelcoming sarcasm, brought a smirk to the vampire’s lips as he stalked towards the nearest sink, greeting Lightning with a small nod as he walked past. “Too bad; I had a ton of shit I was hoping you could deal with—guess I’ll head out.” He called out with a smug little smile as he disappeared into the washroom, wasting no time to turn on the sink and begin to wash off the blood of which had tried upon his knuckles, spitting in order to rid his lip of the same delicious, though pesky liquid. He would drink a human’s blood, and the blood of a hot girl—but, some asshole who thought he could beat him in a fight?
Fuck no.
» After a few moments of washing and inspecting the moderately raw, bruised flesh lining his fingers and jaw, Ty exited the washroom, just in time to see Lightning drop her cigarette to the ground, his blatant disapproval written clearly cross his arrogant features.”Fuckin’ waste.” He murmured with a subdued smile as he took a seat right beside Li, observing her with a moderately quirked brow. “Poor as fuck people, such as myself, could a’ finished that, bitch.” He continued easily, his smirk blooming into an amused little grin as he initiated their customary greeting; brimming with frowned-upon language and relentless insults, a simple “hello” was, seemingly, never enough. It was an odd habit, certainly, but one the two had seemed to master flawless. They meshed well, Lightning and Tyrone, and he was exceedingly aware of this—however, he, like most males, had other ideas. If they could mesh, much as they did now, but preferably without clothing or a sense of self control—that, would be perfect.
Absolutely. Fucking. Perfect. so don't hold your fucking breath. [/style] [/style]

Lightning, for one, didn't believe in fate or any other form of supernatural--ironic, i know--shit that people were always obsessed over. She didn't believe in having no control of your future; she was more of a, i-do-whatever-the-fuck-i-want kind of girl. You know, the kind of girl who made her own path.
But there were times, when she had doubt.
Talk of the devil, and he shall appear.
“Too bad; I had a ton of shit I was hoping you could deal with—guess I’ll head out.”
That voice--that sarcasm, laced with smug arrogance that only he could pull off. Lightning, eyes closed and body relaxed, jumped with a visible recoil, eyes springing open in a mixture of surprise, shock, and--ugh--joy. Annoyed at her immediate, albeit unconscious and therefore uncontrollable reaction, the azure remained seated, lifting the cigarette to her lips in an attempt of nonchalance, before leaning back into the couch, cursing the moment she decided that today would be the day where she wouldn't style her hair. Blowing out the smoke through her nose, she arched a brow at Ty--resisting the urge to jump up and wrap her arms and legs around him--and curled her upper lip, as if disgusted by his mere presence.
"Oh, no, please burden me with all your shit. They just brighten up my whole day." She rolled her eyes, cerulean flickering up to stare accusingly at him, watching as he disappeared into the washroom. "No, really--your shit is the only reason i carry on with this life." She suppressed the urge to smile, or even smirk, not because she wanted him to think that she disliked him--let's be honest, it was too late for that--but because she was still angry about her previous reaction.
Get with it, for fuck sake. It's just a guy.
But it wasn't just a guy, was it?
With a sigh, she waved the thought away from her mind, not wanting to think about it, especially not here, or now, with him around.
She heard the sound of water running, and she frowned, brows furrowing, as she wondered what he was doing. The tantalizing scent of sweet metal infused the air alongside the muskier, heavier smell of cigarette smoke, and her brow furrowed deeper, her curiosity kicking in to overdrive as she wondered just what the fuck Ty had been doing earlier today.
He left the washroom, and she immediately saw the steadily bruising flesh of his jaw, a light blush beginning to bloom from where he'd been presumably hit. With a roll of her eyes, she stared pointedly at his jaw, cerulean flickering down to his hands where there would no doubt be similar patterns of pain, before looking back into his eyes, one brow arching in a condescending manner.
"You're a dick," she muttered, not bothering to provide an explanation to her insult. For one, Lightning Strife was not a girl who explained herself or her actions, and secondly, it wasn't exactly an ambiguous reason.
She dropped her cigarette moments later, having lost the appetite for it, and Ty frowned, before murmuring, "Fuckin' waste." She turned her head slowly to face him, one brow steadily arching, her upper lip curling back in distaste. "What." He came and plopped down next to her, watching over her with a similar expression to hers; only his was left pissed off and more amused.
“Poor as fuck people, such as myself, could a’ finished that, bitch.”
Lightning leaned forward, locking eyes with him through lidded cerulean, one hand gently leaning forwards to snake its way around his neck, the tip of her thumb gently brushing against his lower lip, her breath whispering against his flesh. She paused, staying like that for one, two, three seconds, letting the tension--the sexual tension sink in, letting him struggle against it. "Then why don't you fucking pick it up from the floor then, bastard." With that, her hand against his neck turned hard, and she slammed his face into the couch, making sure she'd pressed against the bruise on his jaw.
Leaving him to deal with his mess, she bounced back to her seat, fishing out another cigarette with ease, before lighting it, waving the lighter playfully in a teasing manner, before shoving it into her bra, which she'd used as a pocket. Flicking the ash, she smirked at Ty, slowly, deliberately, taking one deep drag in front of him; just to piss him off. She arched a brow. "Well?" She asked, "you gunna pick it up then, baby?"
It was how they worked.
It was their way of saying hello, how do you do?
Giving him a victorious smirk, she went back to leaning onto the couch, holding the cigarette away from Ty--just in case he got any smart ideas of stealing it away.
"Anyway, dickhead, who says i'm richer than you? Bitch, orphans make for some of the poorest fuckers ever around, you know?" Lightning aimed a half-hearted kick towards him, not really looking where she was going. "So don't give me your, 'i'm the poorest guy in school' bullshit, got it?"
Flicking her ash away from them both, she turned to face him, spreading out her legs onto his lap--just the way she knew he hated it--and she leaned back onto the arm of the couch, before taking another drag from the smoke. "Anyway, what're you doing here?" She arched a brow, jabbing an accusing hand (the one with the cigarette) at him, "don't tell me you're stalking me, or some shit." The edge of her lips curved to form her signature smirk, her tone playful, teasing and yet underlying laced the heavy emotion of dead-weight depression; something that couldn't be helped. Julian had done his work well.
She briefly wondered when--if--it would ever fade; the feelings of despair, the clawing scratches of fear. Her friends and brother helped, of course, but she couldn't help but think; there was only one person who made her feel the happiest--who made her forget, even for just a moment.
Lighting looked up, cerulean locking eyes with ebony.
It was just a shame the feeling wasn't mutual.[style=border-top: 2px #488AC7 solid; padding-top: 5px; text-align: center; letter-spacing: 1px;]words: 1005 notes: i'm literally dead so yh this won't make much sense yep. IDC THO EXCITED. |

SHE FUCKING HATES ME, & I LOVE IT. Wait! Where you going? "I'm leaving you" No you ain't. Come back we're running right back. Here we go again. “Oh no, please burden me with all of your shit. They just brighten my whole day.” The young man didn’t have to look at her to be aware of the expression that, surely, would be etched upon her feminine features; sarcastic, accusation, faux bitterness. She was a cheeky individual but, oddly enough, Tyrone enjoyed it – and, all harshness aside, he knew she liked his company, as well. “No, really – your shit is the only reason I carry on with this life.” A low, baritone chuckle rumbled within the depths of the vampire’s chest as he twisted the water on, hands easily slipping under the liquid in order to rid his knuckles of the blood that clung, irritatingly, to the surface of his skin. Tyrone didn’t truly mind blood, per say, but it didn’t exactly add to the charming demeanor he tried to go for. That shit just wasn’t classy – and, so, in the spirit of possibility, the man figured it was best to wash.
There was also the fact that the scent of blood, no matter who it was from or however fucking feint, set his throat on fire with valiant, instinctual longing.
Bullshit.
“Aw, well ain’t you fuckin’ adorable.” Ty murmured with the slightest of smiles as he craned his neck in order to peer out the doorway, flashing Lightning a quick wink, before turning off the water and swiping his hands against his jeans as he made his way towards where she was sitting. They were partaking in rather usual banter, considering their current circumstances; never, did Ty greet Lightning with “hi,” or “the weather is nice,” just as she refused to speak customarily as well. It just didn’t happen – it wasn’t them. If Lightning did ever speak so formally, Tyrone would only grow concerned; they were rude, sarcastic, and – quite frankly – assholes. But, he loved it.
“You’re a dick.” The young woman muttered and immediately Tyrone lifted his eyes, her own, pointed steadily at his jaw, causing a grin to curve his smooth lips, a refrained round of laughter teetering on the edge of his tongue. “You bet your ass I am – hella fuckin’ proud of it, too.” He replied smoothly, his signature boyish, mocking little smirk still very much present. “’Sides, you love it.” Some reacted negatively to his arrogance, while a select few – okay, perhaps only Lightning – didn’t seem to mind. That was one of the many reasons that the vampire relished in her company, however; he could relax into himself, and didn’t need to be afraid about whether or not she would accept him. Tyrone didn’t judge Lightning, just as Lightning didn’t judge Tyrone. And, sure, the man didn’t always appear to care – but, at the end of the day, there wasn’t a friendship that mattered more to him.
They hadn’t fucked yet, but that was still a work in progress.
“What.” He wasn’t intimidated by her tone, nor did he give any thought to waltzing himself over and plopping down beside her – why? Because Lightning was the way she was; bitchy or not, he was more than content to deal with it. He knew very well she didn’t approve of his answer, for reasons that – of course – were unknown to him, though his amusement remained seemingly everlasting. Many grew serious when in the presence of a possible threat, whereas Tyrone had an uncanny way of finding every situation fucking hilarious.
Needless to say, this was one of those situations.
With that said, all amusement was rapidly lost as she edged herself closer, instead replacing itself with a very avid, aware sense of arousal.
See, Tyrone and Lightning were an exceedingly odd duo; there relationship was a casual one ordinarily, and, yet, it held such potent, intense sexual tension. Ty was a hormonal, sexually swayed creature to begin with, but the fact that Li had hoarded sex with her away from him as though it was worth everything and more – well, that only peaked his interest, and kept him persistent. So, as I’m sure you can imaging, the sudden shift in atmosphere did not go unnoticed. The moment she leaned forwards, thumb feathering across his lower lip, Tyrone felt his body respond in a very unruly, unanticipated reaction, spine stiffening and lips parting, jaw flexing beneath the weight of her hand. It was all physical, all instinctual; right then, there was nothing more he wanted then kiss her and succumb to the urges of which ran, so rampantly, through him. His chest stilled, breath hitching.
“Then why don’t you fucking pick it up from the floor then, bastard.”
Shit.
The young man didn’t have time to react before his face was shoved – oddly roughly, all things considered – into the sofa beneath them, a new stinging sensation sparking within the reddened and tender flesh of his jaw.
Fuck’s sake.
“Whore.” Tyrone muttered spitefully into the cushion, only before hoisting himself into a sitting position once more, eyes, narrowed and sharp, flicking towards Lightning just in time to see her waving a lighter, mocking, and then dropping it into her bra. Yeah, like that would keep him from getting it from her. Either Lightning misjudged his boldness to a degree nearly unbelievable, or was baiting him – he could only hope for the latter. “If you want me to go digging around in your shirt, all you gotta do is ask.” He replied smoothly, another little smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. His tone wasn’t hoarse nor grated, thus having abandoned all sign of being previously flustered; it was a irritating as hell, attempting to get the message across that he would, unfortunately, not be getting laid, but it was doable.
“Well? You gunna pick it up then, baby?” Lightning asked, mockingly, and Ty’s head tilted a fraction in immediate reaction, ebony eyes narrowing as they flitted from her face to the cigarette, then back. She was presenting one hell of a challenge, if he’d ever seen one. “When I can have that one?” He inquired, slowly, before leaning back into the cushion. “Nah.”
And then, he stilled.
No warning, no obvious plan of action. He relaxed back into the couch, smirk molding into a rather easy, satisfied smile.
He’d get it, eventually – it was just a matter of when her guard was let down.
“Anyways, dickhead, who says I’m richer then you? Bitch, orphans make for some of the poorest fuckers ever around, you know?” She kicked out, aimlessly, in an action Ty assumed was meant for him, before continuing. “So don’t give me your ‘I’m the poorest guy in the school’ shit, got it?” His eyes, uninterested, remained steadily on her features, his infuriatingly unaffected smile remaining triumphantly upon his features. It was then, though, that is occurred to him; they knew nothing about one another. Tyrone was an orphan which was, apparently, something the two shared – curiosity, then, entered the man’s expression. It was brief, destroyed quickly by a shrug and nonchalant shift of his seat, though his silent questions still remained. Had she experienced death, loss, pain – just as he had? It was a startling thought, but one that Tyrone attempted to stifle with every fibre of his being. He wasn’t the prodding, curious sort – protective, certainly, but not comforting. That was what it came down to. “Yeah, I do know. I’m Tyrone,” he introduced, sarcastically, before extending a hand in her direction as though wanting to shake it with her own, “fellow fucking orphan.”
And then, he smiled.
Words that could be serious, presumably, suddenly took on a lighter intention as the male vampire offered yet another wink, dropping his hand just in time to shove her legs – which she had attempted to rest in his lap – away from him, and onto the floor.
“Anyway, what are you doing here? Don’t tell me you’re stalking me or some shit.” Tyrone shifted, brow lifting in question of her words. “Let’s be fuckin’ real here, right,” he said, slowly, tempted to lean in closer once more as he studied her, lips still curled, “you’d love it if I stalked you.” He stated, blatantly, other brow rising to join the first as he regarded her, daring her to question his words. He didn’t answer her first question, nor did he intend to. He came to wash up after a fight that, quite frankly, he didn’t give a shit about informing her of. “I’ll tell you what—“ a pause, the broadening of a smile, “fuck me, and I’ll stalk you all you want. Win-win.”
Forward, flirtatious, aggressive, pessimistic, sarcastic – so them, and so, fucking perfect.
WORDS. 1432 MUSE. hellagood NOTES. didn't proof this but OMG LOVE THEM

“Aw, well ain’t you fuckin’ adorable.”
In response, Lightning rolled her eyes, before muttering, "like a fucking doll," mimicking the same elements of sarcasm that Ty had coloured his words with. The boy leaned backwards to flash Lightning a wink before disappearing back into the room--something which the azure was thankful for, seeing as that stupid fucking wink had increased her heartbeat to quicker than normal, inducing an embarrassingly pink blush to spread like wild fire across her cheeks. Taking a deep breath, she blew it out slowly, willing her mind to calm the fuck down. God, she hated him.
Except she didn't.
He's just a boy, she thought furiously, I don't like him.
Gently massaging her temple, she watched Ty as he walked back into the room and towards her, eyes leveled carefully on his figure as well as the burning cigarette in her hand, whilst mentally taking note of her heart rate. One thing she knew was that their friendship--if you could even call it that--depended solely on their ability to insult each other with a harshness usually reserved for enemies; if she started fucking blushing every time he talked to her, then she might as well as say goodbye now.
She wasn't doing it because she liked him (because she fucking didn't), but because, too put it simply, she liked his company.
And right now, she needed her friends more than ever--not that she'd ever admit it.
Flicking the ash off her cigarette, she noticed the bruising on his jaw and with the arch of a brow called him a dick, rolling her eyes at his barbaric need to resolve everything with his fists. Not that she could say anything, of course--the girl was stupidly violent herself.
But Ty was something else.
“You bet your ass I am – hella fuckin’ proud of it, too.” He smirked, mocking yet boyish at her, before adding, “’sides, you love it.”
Her heart did that funny thing again, where it seemed to skip a beat, and Lightning paused, allowing herself to close her eyes for one--only one--second, before opening them with a new sense of hardness, determination; anger.
I don't like him.
"You sure about that, baby?" She asked, eyes narrowed slightly and her lips straight, with no sense of humour. Her tone was dry, despite the endearing term she'd used to call him--maybe she was overdoing the irony. "'Cause last time i checked, i sorta fucking hate it." She paused, letting the words sink in for one, two, three seconds, before finally twisting the edge of her lips into that knowing smirk of hers, that curve of her lips she only showed to the people she cared about. The smirk that said: you're an idiot, but i like you anyway.
She hadn't worn it in for quite some time--not since what happened with Julian--and yet Ty could bring it out so easily, with just a few words laced with his natural arrogance. It angered her that he could have that much of an affect on her; that he, some boy that she hardly really knew, could make her feel things she didn't want to feel. That he could make her happy when no one else could--and that was what pissed her off the most.
That she'd come to depend on him.
This boy, that she didn't know.
It made her feel weak.
I don't like him.
Feeling hostile, she glowered at the onyx as he waltzed over to her and sat beside her--when suddenly, she thought of an idea.
Leaning in close, she snaked an arm around him, her fingertips leaving shallow kisses along his skin, her lips mere millimeters away from his, their breaths tantalizing close; when, in the heat of the moment, she'd crushed his face into the pillow, making sure she'd shoved his jaw where it was bruised.
“Whore.” He muttered, to which she simply replied, "dickhead," before sitting up and glaring at her, only to see her drop her lighter into her bra--not an invitation, but more of a challenge.
“If you want me to go digging around in your shirt, all you gotta do is ask.”
She had to hand it to him--his levels of self control were admirable. At least, when it came to recovering himself. When it came to sexual situations, the boy tended to think with his dick.
"Go ahead and try it, buddy," she murmured, lips tugged up into an amused smirk, "when you're on the floor having seizures then we'll see who's laughing." To emphasize her point, she flicked her fingers to produce a small electrical bolt, the bright blue flash small, but effective. Cocking her head to the side, she smiled sweetly, her eyes daring. "Still wanna go?"
Lightning resisted the urge to laugh before asking him if he was going to pick up the cigarette she'd dropped on the floor, before lighting up a new one, if only to mock his previous words. He tilted his head before narrowing his eyes, judging the situation, eyes flicking from her face to the cigarette in her hand. Feeling cautious, she shifted so that her body shielded her hand, but not obviously so.
“When I can have that one? Nah.”
Leaning back into the couch, he stilled, a relaxed smile settling on his lips.
She paused, eyeing him warily, unsure of his next move before deciding to taunt him further; bringing the cigarette to her lips, she breathed in deeply, exaggeratedly, before blowing the smoky grey out slowly, the wisps clouding the space between them for a few moments before dispersing into the neighbouring air. Smiling, she locked eyes with his: your turn.
The topic moved on to the subject of money, and in reply to her comment, the onyx said, “yeah, I do know. I’m Tyrone,” before extending a hand in her direction before adding, “fellow fucking orphan.”
Her eyes widened in visible shock--more due to the realisation that she really didn't know him at all.
And yet, when he winked again--she felt it.
That sense of longing.
They didn't know each other; they were strangers, if anything.
You don't have to know him.
It was a thought--quick, flashing once, brightly in the edge of her mind before disappearing just as quickly. A seed of an idea, premature yet somehow understandable. She didn't have to know him. She could leave, and never see him again--avoidance. It was simple. After all, she didn't like depending on him, did she?
So why didn't she just leave.
The stubborn part of her mind answered the question: because Lightning Strife didn't run away. She'd get to know him, and by the end of it all--she'd say fuck you, it was nice whilst it lasted.
Besides, she didn't like him anyway.
I don't like him.
Brows arched in question, she slipped her hand into his before giving it a firm shake, her fingers unmistakably lingering one, two seconds too long before returning to her side. "Nice to meet you," she replied shrewdly, "looks like life fucked us both over, huh?"
He shoved her feet off his lap and onto the floor, and arching a brow she shook her head slightly, warning him. "I don't think so--they stay on your lap, buddy." Grinning, she lifted them back up, making sure her heels dug right into his special place which she knew he prided himself over. Offering him a wink of her own, she parted her lips infinitesimally, tracing the bottom lip with her tongue.
The conversation shifted once more, and Ty shifted, before arching a brow of his own. “Let’s be fuckin’ real here, right,” he said slowly, lip curled, “you’d love it if I stalked you.” She snorted, rolling her eyes, opening her mouth to comment when he added, “I’ll tell you what—“ a pause, the broadening of a smile, “fuck me, and I’ll stalk you all you want. Win-win.”
Her eyes widened once more--this time in shock more than realisation, and the back of her mind worried at how much her heart raced in response to his words. At how much she wanted him--how much she longed for his touch; his skin against hers.
I don't like him.
She pressed her lips together, before curving them into another one of her signature smirks--one of her special go fuck yourself varieties, one hand casually toying with her hair, wrapping a strand flirtatiously around her finger. "Tempting," she murmured--not exactly dry, but not entirely provocative either. Leaning forward she flicked his nose, as if talking to a child, and she leaned back, flicking her bangs out of her eyes with a lavish air of superiority, defiance. "But i'm going to have to take a rain check." Her smirk widened, and she nodded towards his crotch, "looks like you're going to have to take one for the team, buddy." She winked teasingly, before adding, "again."
I don't like him.
She locked eyes with him, blue against black, cerulean and ebony, and repeated the phrase, each time adding a new ferociousness, determination, when suddenly--the ongoing war she'd felt, heart against mind, emotion against reason, stopped.
She'd surrendered.
Fuck, she thought. Fuck fuck fuck.
I like him.
