» Occupation Explanations
( the introduction )
So, you'll find the list of jobs and those that are open as well as be able to claim your own job or create a shop in the post below. However, some jobs are more than they seem or have a bit of an explanation to them that are not explained elsewhere, and this thread is for that. This is also to let people know what jobs are available that may not be listed in the post below this ^_^
( Indulgence )
Indulgence is a club that caters to...all tastes. So while there are normal jobs for a club, such as the bouncers and the bartenders and the DJs and such, there are also some others thrown in that aren't listed. Some people work there in the private rooms where blood can be given, there's strippers on the lower floors...anything you can dream up, it's likely to be allowed to happen there, though please keep the rating in mind when posting!
( Forced Physique )
Now, Forced Physique is quite typically like your basic gym. The only difference is that it also has a boxing arena below the gym itself that allows the vampires to also be fighters and compete against each other.
( Spurcus Noct Academy )
The professors at the Academy for the most part teach normal subjects, like English and Math and History...but they also teach some subjects that may seem a little bit more out there. Some of them include Vampire Sociology, or the study of what the students soon will become, Fencing and Archery, as well as Equestrian Studies. The first of each subject will be listed as the Head of the Department. And only THREE professors per department will be allowed. (Three history, three literature, three fencing, etc)
( Camp Mortalis » Leader )
The Leader of Camp Mortalis has absolute authority. She established the Camp when it looked like humans were losing and she demands respect, but she also listens to the Council of Elders and isn't entirely all about herself, she takes into account the others. She considers her job to keep everyone in the Camp safe and far out of Vamp reach, as well as getting as many humans from the Sector as she can.
( Camp Mortalis » Elders )
Elders are not always old, they are wise. They are the council that advises the Leader. They all have their own specialized skill and are respected just as much as the Leader among the camp.
( Camp Mortalis » Warriors)
The Warriors are those that protect the camp. They fight and they train in order to protect the humans in the camp. They know they're out shined in the subject of strength so they train in other ways in order to beat vampires, or so they hope. They often patrol the borders of the camp, both looking for stray humans looking for the camp and making sure to keep vampires off of their trail. Warrior Captains are those that are just under the Head Guard. They each have their own group of Warriors who they lead, and take their orders from the Guard, and give those orders out to their squad.
( Camp Mortalis » Spies )
Spies for Camp Mortalis risk a lot, they go back to the Sector in order to scout out and see what's going on there. They also make sure that there is no hints of them getting close to finding them. As a side job, when they can they tend to take pets back with them so they can possibly rehabilitate them.
( Camp Mortalis » Merchants )
Merchants are the life blood. They are those that make goods that people need, they grow food and have it for sale, basically they are those that sell things and keep the world in Camp Mortalis moving.
( Forsyth Citadel » Monarch )
The Monarch is the overarching ruler of the world as it now is. He has managed to get the whole world under his thumb, taking advantage of both his affinity and the chaos the world was in to put himself on top. And he's doing what he has to to make sure he can stay there.
( Forsyth Citadel » Adviser )
The adviser is part of the Council and yet, she is not. She has the Monarch's ear perhaps even more so than the Council and she handles most of the day to day running for him, those things that he can't be bothered with because he's busy with the bigger stuff. In his absence, if it should ever happen, she takes over.
( Forsyth Citadel » Council )
Please note that all Council positions are Canons, and if you're interested you should check the canons out! The Council is the group that helps to advise the Monarch on the day to day running. Each member of the Council heads up one of the other occupations with some exceptions. They are the best at what they do and the Monarch trusts them to handle their area of keeping the city in order. They monitor their areas of interest and report it to the Monarch if they feel something should be called to his attention. They keep the Sectors running.
They also give him the pros and cons of each rule he may enact, serving to make sure everything is fair and in the favor of the vampires of the city. They give him their opinions and, aside from his adviser, they are perhaps the only ones whose opinions he takes into account.
( Forsyth Citadel » Guards/Hunters )
Guards do just that, they guard. They are also called Hunters for the way that they hunt those down that need it, or the Hounds. Because like a dog, get on their scent for the wrong reason, and you're doomed. They are lead by The Punisher of the council and report to him, or their own superiors. They protect the higher up vampires, are trained to fight, and are there for the protection of the citadel as well as it's people. They are, quite basically, the police force of Aurum sector.
The Hunters also have another job, at the will of the Monarch, they also kill off vampires. Why? To make sure that the Monarch stays on top. Mostly it's those that he finds to be beneath him, the drug addicts and the homeless...which he says is for the good of the people. After all, as an immortal race they wouldn't want to over populate, would they? There's a reason that the Hunters strike fear into the people of Aurum Sector...and not just for the humans.
( Forsyth Citadel » Trackers)
The Trackers are led, quite obviously, by The Tracker of the Council. Their job is something they all seem to quite enjoy: Tracking down humans. Either for the sake of being pets or for the job that most really seem to go into it for: to Track down Camp Mortalis. It's been hidden a long time, but the Trackers are determined to sniff it out. Basically, a Tracker is a human's worst nightmare.
( Forsyth Citadel » Spies/Informants )
The Spies of Aurum Sector work for The Informant of the Council, though none have ever seen her face and most work through the messages her hawks send, though they value her privacy because they know it's a precious thing. Most people wouldn't know how to pick a spy from any other normal vampire. Their job is to blend in, wherever their job of the month is. They blend in, they become friends with people, and they worm their way into the inner workings of things...and then report back to The Informant.
( Forsyth Citadel » Pets )
Most pets become such for their own safety, though not all. Some are reluctant because of the duties most pets perform. When they are unclaimed and staying at the Sector, their jobs are anything that a vampire wouldn't want to do: maid, cook, etc. All the lower class jobs. They also have a very important other job, which is the reason the vampires keep humans around: Blood giving. They're kept healthy, clean, and are given plenty of time to live...because the better they are, the better their blood is.
Those pets that are personally claimed are basically at the beck and call of those that they "work for." They will most likely be doing the same as before, and vampires are not to take away their rights or humiliate them in any way -- for example, they can't force them into anything they don't want to do except clean or cook or such. Aka, keep it PG-13, no unwanted sexual encounters!
( Other » Business )
There are some serious big businesses here in Aurum Sector, and as such, anyone is welcome to open their own when they create a character. This means there's also some characters who may be heir to that business, of course. And those that work within it.
There are also the smaller shops within the Town Square that are more local, more warm and inviting. And of course, there can be owners of those as well!
( Other » Refugee )
This title belongs to those humans who have yet to make it to Camp Mortalis, or perhaps are too afraid to leave the safety of the Sector for the dangers of the Forest to find it. These humans are constantly hiding out from the Trackers and live their life on the run, they are also often thieves.
