Smell is used to communicate but also to locate food. Crissatha Isobel Pandora
No Vacancy Baby,
I want you to Hate me
cause no one can save me...
His anger made it easier to predict him, easier to know that he was going to snap and get mad, even while it made him harder to predict because who could predict anger? It was a more familiar feeling to have him be mad at her though, it was easier for her to deal with than the weird intimacy that he had shown her before this. She didn’t like that. That hit too close to home.
It hurt too much.
The only person who could be intimate with her right now, touch her like that, was Lux. And that was just because he was Lux. He kept her safe, he made sure she was alright. It was only because he wasn’t with her that she was in this mess because he would have made sure she never wandered towards a mocker like this while she was like this. She should go back to his room and be back with her CHii and her Lux, where things made a lot more sense and she could at least pretend that she knew how to deal with the world anymore.
His anger made it easier to be silent. Even though it obviously made him more angry, she preferred to be silent. She didn’t want to hear her own voice, her voice sounded like everything that she currently was: dead and unfeeling. She didn’t want any more of a reminder of what she had managed to become over a stupid boy who had hurt her. So not speaking was in her agenda for today, whether he liked it or not. She didn’t much care that it made him mad, she knew that she probably should, but she just didn’t seem to be able to summon up that emotion or the need to run away like she probably would have if she was smart. But as people had pointed out to her recently, she obviously was not smart at all.
He growled at her, snapped and spoke of her silence, but it didn’t cause her to speak. Nothing could cause her to speak if she didn’t want to right now. Funny, once upon the time she always had a sarcastic comment, now she wasn’t sure she could if she tried.
He snapped, once more, but she expected it and she liked when she expected things. It was different than sitting here wondering what would happen next because that was more dangerous than the anger honestly. Anger she knew. He called her weak but it didn’t upset her, it didn’t make her angry. Right now she was, somewhere deep inside, mad at herself. She agreed with him, she was weak. He flicked her cheek and she winced a little. He was still too close honestly. A part of her answered his next statement. ”Awwww, you’re a daddy’s boy too, how cute, all proud of how your papa took over a school? How sweet”
|
[/i] but those words never left her mouth. Had she been herself she would have happily spat them in his face and not cared about the consequences. But right now, that seemed impossible. She just shrugged instead. It was easier. It was easier just not to care. So she didn’t. It was pathetic but she couldn’t seem to bring herself to snap out of it. She had tried too for a while, but it was just…too hard to bother too much. It hurt too much when she tried. Trying brought the pain back, staying numb meant she didn’t have to deal with anything except for the occasional disapproving look that she got from time to time when she actually managed to leave Lux’s room, and of course Lux’s worry. That she felt bad about more than anything else but she just couldn’t bring herself to care. He pulled her hair and she shrieked, not expecting that, but that sparked a little bit of feeling in her, just a little bit. Something you would hav eto be looking to find in her. She had a little bit in her words when she spoke too, something she hadn’t expected after the constant dead tone she had been using before this. He threatened to find out her name and her friends’ names and hurt them. That made her pause a moment. Her friends probably hated her after the way she had run off without telling anyone, and to make it worse because she had been absent she hadn’t been able to help any of them when they had been taken captive, when she would have clearly noticed had she been around that they had been taken from her vantage point in the DJ booth. She should have been there, they probably hated her for that. Not that she helped things by then disappearing into Lux’s room and not coming out. All the same, they didn’t deserve to get hurt because of her again. She frowned slightly, just slightly, not liking that she was going to give in. ”Crissatha” she said simply. Crissatha. Not Cris. She didn’t feel like Cris right now. [/div][/center] Just a damn little freak MUSE: okay WORDS: 912 COMMENTS: I made this templaaaate haha....also, don't know why she seems to blame herself for them getting taken. It's weird.

The memories were still crystal clear, no matter how hard she tried to get rid of them. Cloud, dying. Bleeding. Then blaming her. Hating her. She drew in a sharp intake of breath, ignoring the familiar pangs of pain, brows furrowing to form a frown. She would have been proud, the way she could deal with the whole situation, if only she'd been like that since the beginning. It hurt to think about it, they way she tried to leave the pack, filled with nothing but anger and blame, a ball of hatred. But she was different now. She was angrier. And that helped, somehow. Truth was, Lightning had fucked up; her friendship with Raea (scratch that, the whole BP) were at it's last strands--speaking of which, she still needed to talk to her; Cloud, presumably sick and tired of consoling her had vanished, and Ty? Louder Louder and we'll run for our lives

Sabine wished there was a way that she could put the dear boy—no not boy, though he was to be one of her students, he was only a few years her junior…she shouldn’t think such things—at ease. It seemed like anything she could possibly do that might cause him to relax made him more on edge. She wasn’t entirely sure why this was, she just knew that she could see it and she could feel it. She always could. It put a weird knot in her chest when those around her weren’t feeling good emotions and that knot would grow as the emotions got worse, and eventually it would make her sick.
Not for the first time, she wished she knew more into why a person was feeling a certain way. But that was not her gift, and she was indeed grateful for the gift she did have. All the same, she wished she could know, it would make it so much easier for her to help. She didn’t realize that it was this, her need to help and her want to make it better that was making it worse for him. She was just a caring soul, she couldn’t help it.
Though part of her truly wished to ask other questions. She had never seen emotions so far muted as his.It made her wonder, it made her question. She wished to know why. She couldn’t help herself, she was a curious soul…it came along with her affinity not telling her why as well as her own personality. She had always been this way and she didn’t shy away from it any longer. But Sabine was also unsure of how he would react to her knowing about his emotions, and she didn’t wish to put him more up in arms than he already was.
Lark apologized and Sabine was quick to correct, easily telling him that he shouldn’t bother. But it was the dear that fluently flowed off her tongue and into the world. She couldn’t help herself, it just was something she did so often. She was quick to keep it in check in the classroom but this was out of her norm and thus the habit of keeping it in check wasn’t as strong as it often was, so it had left her tongue before her mind had been able to catch up with it. An amusing image of parenthood and such kept her from being too mortified.
But all the same she kept a quick eye on his emotions—pushed down as they were—just to see. It was confusion. Now, she hadn’t been expecting that one. Plenty of other emotions that she thought might be possible came to mind but confusion had never crossed hers. She thought that was odd, and couldn’t help the slight tilt of her head as she examined the emotion for a moment. What would cause someone to be confused about being called dear? She couldn’t help her building curiousity. She was just trying her best to keep it in check.
Oh, but being professional was so hard sometimes.
She clucked her tongue, partly disappointed in her own decision to behave herself and keep her questions from leaving her curious and questing mind. Oh but he interested her. She couldn’t help herself. He was much more different than her typical student, and Sabine rarely got out. She kept to her classes, her books, and her cats. She wasn’t much of one for going out because of the temptation to drink and such. So those outside her normal student…tended to set off her question.
Behave, Sabine, she scolded herself gently, and forced herself to pay attention once more. Back on the subject of her cat. She chuckled softly and explained that he was just as any other cat. He was a nut but that was just the way that he was and she was quite fond of him. She nodded at Lark’s word. ”I suppose interesting is a wonderful way to put it, yes” she said, a gentle smile accompanying the words. She was trying to put him at ease still, noticing his rigid behavior and mannerisms and needing to do something to help at least.
He spoke of his weaknesses and she nodded, listening with all the care in the world. She knew what it felt like to admit one’s weakness. Especially for one as old as he was, as old as they both were. It felt like it cost more with age. She hated to admit her alcoholic tendencies and would avoid it at all costs. So she knew how hard it was to admit something such as this, and she gave it all the care it deserved, making sure to put compassion into everything she said, not that that was abnormal for her.
And she knew that her care had been appreciated from his reaction and that made her happy. That was what she was here to do. A professors job was to teach, yes, but caring for her students—however old they may be—and making them feel at ease always came first to her. She nodded slightly, happy, when she noticed that her care had come to good use. It made her feel a bit better. She listened to what he had to say immediately after her answer.
And a smile blossomed on her lips, easily flowing there with such speed that it was obvious that her lips were used to smiling. ”No need to thank me, I do it happily” she assured him right on back. Odd because he had been assuring her first but she wouldn’t get into that. It would only leave her feeling turned around and backwards.
She spoke, taking in what she had noticed, and making mention that she thought a one on one session would be better for him. She was just going off of what she noticed. She found that her suspissions were corrent and once again Sabine smiled. ”Wonderful. I’m free at this time, my classes have been out for a little while around this time each day, so I’m happy to do it now, from now one. As long as you are free?” she questioned gently, a slight raise of a delicate brow accompanying the words.
